Real median household income … increased by nearly $5,000 in two years. More than six million people were lifted off food stamps, and incomes rose in every metropolitan area in the U.S. for the first time in nearly three decades. Growth was so significant that government revenue as a percentage of gross domestic product increased, driven by higher earnings and booming business activity.
